The Salon d'Honneur of the Grand Palais is hosting the largest exhibition ever dedicated to the ebullient and complex history of the Cartier maison. A dazzling tiara created in 1914 illuminates the poster of the event, giving the visitor a foretaste of the 600 plus pieces on show. The exhibition, organised by the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, highlights the many facets of the maison as well as the virtuoso craftsmanship of the 'Jeweller to Kings '. In an elegant layout gravitating around the 'Constellation' typeface, the composition of the poster humbly suggests the Cartier style. Founded in 1847, the internationally renowned maison has left an undeniable legacy of luxury to the history of art. Photograph of the tiara by Vincent Wulveryck
