TAMANRASSET HOTEL

In this project designed for the Algerian army, a prestige hotel complex is to be built in the middle of the desert. The geopolitical context of the region required the construction to be of a relatively compact shape. Two hotels, a number of restaurants, a swimming-pool, sports equipments, administrative offices, retail shops, etc, all shall be located on three levels gravitating around a central patio designed to facilitate access to the various services available inside the edifice. The orientation of the building has been devised so as to provide maximum protection against the weather conditions, with indoor areas shielded from the heat of the sun.
